With water shortages through out the world, a number of inventors and manufacturers are working to develop water-recycling systems. From a simpledownpipe diverter that takes water to flower beds, to large underground filtering, sterilizing and storage.
Grey water is produced from showering, bathing and washing fruit and vegetables that ends up down the drain and quickly to the waterways where the soap residue has been linked to the loss of habitats on our rivers and streams. As long as the water is used immediately onto non-edibles such as flowers, the ground will filter out the soap residue before returning the water in a filtered state to the aquifer.
Avoid water from dishwashers or washing machines as these contain large amounts of bleaching agents, unless you have the full filtering system designed to filter and store grey and rainwater. Here at Green Ghost Towers we are about to put in a diverter system so shall keep you posted.
