On the 31st of October is Hallowe’en when all the ghosts of the world start their party right up until the 21st December when the Devil throws a big party for all the soul catchers. If you like ghost stories the Green Ghost has just had a book published by The History Press titled ‘Haunted Shropshire’ available from book shops and online at sites like Amazon.com. There seem to be more sighting of ghosts of late so perhaps they are all getting ready for the big push from the 31st to December.
Here at green ghost towers the whole team have their pumpkins ready for illuminating the long line of steps leading up to the towers and have a large bag of chilli flavoured sweets for the little ones who come knocking on the door. In past issues, we have written about ghosts around the world so click on ghosts in the sections column and good reading and good ghost hunting.
In the garden, most crops will be over but any tomatoes and chillies can be made into chutney. Chillies can be dried on the bush by simply cutting off the root and suspending the chilli bush in order to dry off the fruit naturally. What ever you do, have fun out there – and be safe.
