This blog is written to inform readers of small ways they can help us all and the planet make it through the next one hundred years. It is about thinking a little longer before buying a mains powered radio when a smaller eco friendly wind-up one will do the same job and save resources. It is about how we can cut down on the chemical we use in the home, the damage we are doing, unwittingly at times, to this beautiful planet. There will be information and help with building new eco homes, or just improving your home with simple tips to follow. In addition, links to other useful sites that cover some of the tips at a greater depth. After all the heavy stuff there are the ghost stories from all around the world to allow you to seek them out if you are ever in their haunting zone!

| I am a grumpy old man sitting in a very cold office with a candle for warmth and like to think I would have been a great companion of my hero Ebenezer Scrooge. What a grand gentleman he was. I have been working to save my carbon footprint long before it became Chelsea posh and continue to make, mend or convert many household items that would end up in landfill. So having a blog means that now not only my family can suffer the wonderful ideas I have…so can my readers. Even down to collecting spent shotgun cartridges and converting them into homes for bugs.
