Guess what I found today - chocolate diesel
I have just come across a web site today telling of a trip through Europe to Timbuktu in a pick up fuelled with chocolate diesel…how cool is that! I know Valentine is close by but I am off to buy up stock of this wonderful bio-fuel. Please have a look at the site www.biotruck.co.uk and have a smile at such a great way of supporting the need for bio-fuels made from waste products instead of cutting down forest to grow fuel crops…madness in it self when so many are going hungry in the world. I know what to buy this Valentine! Ouch where did that brick come from????

I haven’t understood this at all. When does one end up getting chocolate waste?
I looked up the website that you’ve mentioned www.biotruck.co.uk but the information is rather scatty. And second of all what a truly horrid way to dispose of choc. I can’t imagine ANYONE wasting chocolate…

As I understand it from one of the big manufacturers there is waste chocolate at the start and end of a production run that needs to be disposed of as deemed not fit for human production…a waste but in these days of Health and Safety with everyone taking anyone who upsets them to court, the manufacturers send waste chocolate to contained landfill sites.
